Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How accurate are the measurements?
A: Measurement accuracy depends on various factors including lighting conditions, camera quality, subject cooperation, and signal quality. Under optimal conditions, heart rate typically achieves ±3-5 BPM accuracy compared to medical-grade devices. Blood pressure and blood sugar estimates are experimental and have larger error margins.
Q: Can I use the SDK for medical diagnosis?
A: No. The Vitals SDK provides AI-estimated wellness indicators only and is not a medical device. It is not FDA or CE certified and should never be used for medical diagnosis or treatment decisions. Always consult a healthcare professional for medical advice.
Q: What browsers are supported?
A: We support Chrome 90+, Edge 90+, Safari 14+, and Firefox 88+. For best performance, we recommend Chrome or Edge. Mobile browsers including iOS Safari 14+ and Android Chrome 8.0+ are also supported.
Q: How do I improve measurement accuracy?
A: Ensure good lighting (300-500 lux, uniform frontal lighting), position the user 50-100cm from the camera, maintain consistent distance, minimize movement, and use a high-quality camera (720p or higher). The SDK provides quality metrics to help identify issues.
Q: Can I store measurement data?
A: Yes, you can store measurement data in your own systems. The Admin API provides endpoints for retrieving session data and results. Ensure you comply with applicable data privacy regulations including GDPR, HIPAA, and other local laws.
Q: How do I integrate with my existing application?
A: See our Getting Started guide for detailed integration instructions. The SDK is designed to be easy to integrate with any web application using JavaScript or TypeScript.
